1940s Classic V3 Black Dial

So far, everything went well apart from one missed delivery before I had it redelivered. I love the watch. I was told that this Seagull st3600 is a clone of an old pocket watch(I think Swiss, I forgot which one exactly) which explains it's large diameter, now made into a wrist watch. Love that giant balance wheel spinning. This is not an automatic watch so you are advised to wind it everyday, regularly!

Watch is beautiful. It’s quite thin and wears thinner, an elegance unusual for this style of homage. The case shape also references the homage, especially from top view. The sides are very nicely brushed, and tapered flat angled,which gives it a more streamlined and modern look that works extremely well. The crown also contributes to a more contemporary quality. The black with orangish marking dial is perfect, the lume on the numbers is better than that on the hands; both are acceptable. By day, color of the markings is more muted than in the photos. More antique orange than neon. The sandwich dial is crisp flat black; cutouts appear a tad thinner and more elegant in person than. The strap looks good but is cheep feeling, which is to be expected at this price point. But easy to swap. Note the lugs are not thinner and tapered, in keeping with the overall shape. If only they made a version of this the exact watch but with wire lugs instead!

Received in good time to oz. Watch is a good clean pam california homage, ready to be modded or just enjoyed. Seagull 3600 looks great through the sapphire caseback. Lume could definitely be improved.
